We all know that Bollywood films focuses on real life stories instead of “reel” stories. Because of the unique story Zoya Akhtar’s Gully boy movie is one of the most awaited movie of 2019. This movie also focuses on real life of two underground hip hop rappers Divine and Naezy.
Our favorite Bollywood Start Ranveer Singh is scoring chartbuster success in his upcoming movie “Gully Boy” because of his Hip Hop artiste avatar. Ranveer has been showcasing his flexibility film after film and is in news these day after the box office “Simmba”. Now he is playing a street zapper role in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Even he has sung four songs in that album, two of the tracks “Asli Hip Hop and Apna Time Ayega” have found fans for him on first day only.
In one of his interview he said that rap music has been a passion since his childhood and loves music by Eminem. It is his passion towards rap music that he could go deep into the role in this film, which also famed Alia Bhatt. No doubt Ranveer is famous for his fashions in every films which was also inspired by rappers. He said “I used to go through phases where I used to dress like rappers- wear baggy jeans, oversized jerseys”.
“Hip-hop is something that’s very alive inside me and always has been ever since I was a kid. I have a natural affinity and inclination towards it and I was thrilled to be in Zoya’s film because I had always wanted to do such a film,” Ranveer said in a statement to IANS.
He took inspirations from his favorite rap legends Tupac, Eminem to prepare for his role in Gully Boy. He Added “I think I was in Class 3 or 4 when I first got into hip-hop. I loved listening to Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G. while growing up and I have been into that kind of music ever since. I used to watch a lot of MTV and that’s where I first experienced it. For this his cousin helped him a lot who has been migrated to US now.”
