India’s 70th Republic Day Marked a memory in Abroad – Karan Arora Chandigarh


In Russia Indian Embassy celebrated its 70th #republicday #2019, Around 500 Indian citizens attended this event including people of Indian origin and Russian nationals.
Indian 70th Republic Day was observed with patriotic fervor on Saturday in various locations including abroad countries that saw the participation of Indians living abroad.
Indian Embassy celebrated its Republic Day 2019 at an event in Russian Capital Moscow, which was attended by 500 Indian Citizens including people of Indian Origin and Russian Nationals. The Ceremony was begun with the unfurling of the National Flag by Indian Ambassador Venkatesh Varma followed by National Anthem.
The event was continued by addressing President Ram Nath Kovind’s words for Indian to the Nation. This event also included the cultural programs performed by the children from the embassy of India School in Moscow.
To mark this occasion, the “Rossiskaya Gazeta“ famous newspaper in Russia cooperated Indian Embassy by bringing out the special supplement in one of its publication on India. The publication c0ntained articles, providing the special and strategic partnership between India and Russia.
The China Capital Beijing shared Republic Day celebrations at the Indian Embassy attended by a large Indian diaspora.
India’s new ambassador to china hoisted the tricolor Indian Flag followed by president’s address.
Hundreds of Indian Expatriates from United Arab Emirates celebrated Indian Republic Day at the consulate General of India in Dubai. The Tricolor was hoisted by the Consul General of India Vipul, in Dubai followed by patriotic songs. Everyone there was enjoying this day and showed their patriotism towards this National day. After all the programs, the counsel general greeted everyone and he then addressed president’s words to the nation.
In Every nation children and adults were dressed in traditional wear.
In USA a large number of eminent Indian Americans gathered to celebrate 70thRepublic Day at the consulate General of India in the City of Houston early in the morning to mark this day. In USA Counsel General Anupam Ray hoisted the national flag followed by rendition of the National Anthem.
Great attention was paid by the counsel general for Indian Soldiers who protect nation in extreme conditions staying away from their family for long time. Counsel General and his wife greeted Indian Americans and others for their presence to celebrate this ceremony.
The Indian American George Said in his speech “The US and Indian, the world’s largest democracies, share much in common and I look forward to working with members of both communities towards a prosperous for all”.

2 killed in accident in Chandigarh – Karan Arora SAS Nagar

Biker killed as Baljit Singh Kumbra’s SUV overturned and landed on him; Kumbra’s wife, a Mohali councillor, and driver also injured Baljit Singh Kumbra, 65, the Mohali urban president of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), and a motorcyclist were killed after the former’s SUV overturned due to a tyre burst in Lalru on the Chandigarh -Ambala highway on Thursday. Kumbra’s wife Rajinder Kaur, 64, a municipal councillor in Mohali’s ward number 46, and their driver Tarsem Singh, 53, were injured in the accident. The couple lived in Sector 69, Mohali. The deceased motorcyclist was identified as Shakti Singh, 23, a resident of Ambala. He worked in a private firm in Chandigarh and was returning to Ambala when the accident took place.
